The Rachel Brief is an original design by Porcelynne. This pattern is a high waisted brief and was created to incorporate a wide variety of body sizes. Use the chart below to determine which size you best fit into. This pattern is available in sizes XS through 3X.

Supply List
- 3/8-3/4 yard stretch fabric (lace, mesh, jersey, etc). (XL -3X may require up to a yard depending on the direction of fabric stretch)
- 8″ x 8” contrast lace/mesh (you can easily utilize scraps for this pattern piece)
- 3-4 yards of decorative elastic, foldover elastic or plain 1/4″ elastic for waistline and armhole
- Ball point/stretch needles
The fabric suggestion is for fabrics with a 20-40% stretch. To determine the stretch, pin your fabric across your stretch at 5”. Stretch the fabric to a comfortable stretch. If it is 8” or under, follow the size chart below. For measurements of 9” or over go down one size.

Printed Pattern Options
If you would also like to have a printed pattern or printed instructions sent to you, select the checkboxes in addition to the pattern license. Even if you only want the paper pattern, you need to select the license type in addition to the paper pattern check box. The printed pattern is printed in large format and does not contain any color. The instructions are printed in color.
License and Use Agreement of this Pattern
We are now offering several different licensing options for our patterns. If you are a small business and do custom sewing, you can now use our small business licensed version and use this pattern up to 1000 times. If you are a mid-sized business and would like to use our design between 1001 and 5000 times, we have a version for that as well. With this license you can request additional file types including editable Illustrator files, DXF and PolyPattern file types. If you are a corporation and plan to use this design for over 5000 pieces, you will need to purchase the corporate license. You may also request additional file types after purchase.
